The Radiochemistry Center of Excellence: Exploring the Horizons of Nuclear Forensics Analysis

Dr. John Auxier II, Assistant Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will speak on Friday, December 9, 11 a.m., in the EMSL Auditorium. His presentation, “The Radiochemistry Center of Excellence: Exploring the Horizons of Nuclear Forensics Analysis,” is open to all interested staff and is hosted by PNNL’s Nuclear Process Science Initiative. Dr. Auxier’s work has been focused on improving the forensics process by making it faster, particularly the dissolution and separations components of forensic sample analysis. UT-Knoxville’s Radiochemistry Center of Excellence was established by DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration in 2013 to provide science in support of a number of NNSA mission areas.
