Jennifer Soltis is a postdoc in the Materials Sciences Division of the PNNL Physical and Computational Sciences Directorate. She earned her Ph.D.from the Department of Chemistry, University of Minnesota, where her research focused on using cryogenic transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to probe self-assembly and phase transformation in iron oxide nanoparticles. Her current work uses both cryogenic and in situ fluid cell TEM to elucidate the mechanism of nucleation and growth in nanoparticles of geochemical or radiochemical interest.
